Man v. Food Visits Cattlemen’s Steakhouse
Oklahoma City, OK-- The popular Travel Channel television show Man v. Food spent all Mother’s Day filming at Cattlemen’s Steakhouse for an upcoming episode. “I was suprised when they called since we don’t offer an eating contest like the show is known for. But instead, they wanted to do a feature on Cattlemen’s because it is the best known restaurant in the state,” said Dick Stubbs, owner of Cattlemen’s Steakhouse.
The host of Man v. Food, Adam Richman, and the show’s production crew spent all day Sunday filming in the kitchen and throughout the restaurant on Mother’s Day, the busiest restaurant day of the year. According to Stubbs, “We didn’t like the timing, and tried to change it but the show’s production schedule wouldn’t allow it. I hope our great customers wern’t inconvenienced too much, but it is also a great opportunity for the restaurant which has also recently been featured on the Food Network program Diners, Drive-Ins’ and Dives with Guy Fieri.”
Cattlemen’s Steakhouse is a legendary Oklahoma City restaurant located in Stockyards City that has been in operation since 1910. It is known for the quality of its steaks and its colorful past which includes the restaurant changing hands in 1945 on the roll of a “hard six” in a dice game. Cattlemen’s Steakhouse has also hosted everyone from the President of the United States to an array of Hollywood stars, as well as local residents and tourists alike. |
